The Purpose of IBS
The goal of IBS is to equip the body of Christ to do the work of the ministry. We know that in order to do that, the body needs to know the Word of God. So our goal is not only to teach the Word, but to teach the student methods of Bible study that will last him a lifetime. As students of the Word, they’ll not depend on others to explain the Word to them, but will be able to correctly interpret the Word of God for themselves.
In addition to studying the Word, students are taught principles of biblical leadership. Our students are equipped for active ministry through our internship program, which gives them a working knowledge of church ministry. They are taught “hands-on’ by the ministry heads of local church body – teachers who are actively ministering. They will leave our school prepared to help whichever local body to which God calls them.
Enrollment Procedure
A student may begin IBS at the start of any quarter. As a new student, he will have filled out an application and had an entrance interview with the IBS Administrator. He may choose full or half-time status.
Full-time students take four classes per quarter and half-time students take two classes a quarter, choosing to attend either on Sunday afternoons or Tuesday evenings.
Minnesota Graduate School of Theology
For those students wishing to acquire college credit, we have accreditation through the Minnesota Graduate School of Theology. Their credits transfer to a few Christian colleges in the nation, and some employers will pay for the credits as part of the employees’ compensation program. If a student wishes to pursue a degree program through the Minnesota Graduate School, a one-time fee of $250.00 will be required. That fee is to be paid at the time of the student’s application.
MGST requires a $100.00 payment upon graduation. That, too, is required of the graduating student.
Tuition and Payments
Quarterly Tuition is as follows:
Full-time $ 250.00
Part-time $ 175.00
A discount of 10% is awarded for any student who pays tuition in full by the first class of the quarter.
If a student does not pay in full, he is automatically placed on a payment plan which splits the quarterly tuition into three installments. Payments are then due on the 2nd, 5th, and 8th weeks of class.
This tuition information is valid through March 7, 2010
